19th Annual Wine, Dine & Jazz Festival

The 2024 Wine, Dine & Jazz Festival features celebrity chefs, jazz performances, and creative culinary experiences throughout the weekend. A seated five-course dinner and wine pairing kicks off the festivities. Prepared and presented by three celebrity chefs along with Horseshoe Bay Resort’s Culinary Director, Chef Bill Osloond and Executive Chef Gilbert Moore.

Saturday features celebrity chef cooking demonstrations followed by the Wine & Jazz Stroll featuring Texas Hill Country wine tastings, exquisite food samples prepared by notable regional chefs and restaurants, and live jazz performances.

    Chris Walker served as Al Jarreau’s Musical Director, co-vocalist and bassist for more than twenty years. In the summer of 2019, Walker released his homage to Jarreau: We’re In This Love Together – Celebrating Al Jarreau which continues to receive rave reviews from both critics and fans alike.

    One of the most versatile and cosmopolitan saxophonists in pop, soul and contemporary jazz for nearly 35 years, Michael Paulo has added his distinct saxpertise to a virtual who’s who of artists, including Al Jarreau, James Ingram, Rick Braun, Peter White, Oleta Adams, Kenny Loggins, Patti Austin, Jeffrey Osborne, Jeff Lorber, David Benoit, Carl Anderson, Bobby Caldwell, Johnny Mathis and more.

    Gregg Karukas

    Grammy Award-Winning Keyboardist

    A prolific keyboardist, Gregg Karukas is known for his sophisticated contemporary jazz, incorporating Brazilian traditions, New Age, R&B, and pop. He won Best New Age Album Grammy in 2013 for producing, composing, playing piano/keyboards, arranging and engineering the Echoes of Love CD. He was a founding member of The Rippingtons and has toured with Boney James, Peter White, Rick Braun, Dave Koz, Melissa Manchester, Larry Carlton, Sergio Mendes, Brenda Russell, Jeffrey Osborne and others.

    B. Valentine

    Vocalist

    B. Valentine is an Austin-based soul singer and the lead singer of The Rebirth. She has a signature vocal range that includes soulful melodies and powerful storytelling. She has collaborated on TV shows like America’s Got Talent and performed on the Dave Koz Cruise in Greece.

    Enjoy live jazz and a five-course wine pairing dinner, featuring dishes prepared by celebrity chefs Jernard Wells, Ali Clem, and Jo Chan, along with Horseshoe Bay Resort’s Culinary Director, Chef Bill Osloond and Executive Chef Gilbert Moore. Each course is paired with select Texas Hill Country wines.

    Saturday features a curated selection of restaurants and chefs offering the best bites off their menu. Their delicious dishes are complemented with wine tastings from the best winemakers in the Texas Hill Country Wine region. Enjoy live jazz on the lawn while you taste your way through Texas. Performances by nationally renowned musicians: Guitarist Peter White, Vocalist Chris Walker, Saxophonist Michael Paulo, Grammy Award-Winning Keyboardist Gregg Karukas, and Vocalist B. Valentine.

This James Beard House Honored Chef is affectionately called “The Family Chef” because he loves using food to promote positive family images. He and his wife of 25 years have 9 children.

    Chef Jo Chan, former Top Chef contender in season 19, is founder of Bureau de Poste offering French comfort food from her restaurant inside Tiny Grocer located in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Austin. Chef Chan has worked at and for a variety of lauded restaurants and chefs, including Nobu, Barbuto, and James Beard winner Marcus Samuelsson. She moved to Austin in 2018, where she became Executive Chef at Eberly.
